Mission Statement

The Maine Professional Photographers Association is here to provide a common ground for photographers to  share and grow;  to promote professional photography in the state of Maine, through the pursuit of excellence in craftsmanship and artistry, while following the M.P.P.A code of ethics.

 

The MPPA provides an atmosphere for professional photographers to grow and be successful.  To do this we provide four major services; a local photographers network, educational programming, a marketing platform and professional credentials.

Networking

Probably the best and most important thing the MPPA offers is a Network of fellow professionals.  This network allows you to receive and give information that is critical to our survival as photographers in any economy.  Our network also provides a forum to meet new people and exchange ideas and share a common love of photography.

Education

Every year we have a number of master photographers speaking to us about photography and business.  The MPPA educational process covers many areas of photography by people who know what they are talking about and have been doing in most of their lives.  We have speakers who come to regularly schedule meetings and others at our annual convention.

Marketing

Our marketing platform is our brand new website.  Every member has a link to there website and instant information about your business as well as show some of your images.  In addition you are able to change information about yourself  instantly.

Professional Credentials

Professional Credentials means you are associated with an organization that requires conducting business ethically and of the highest quality. The MPPA offers awards for those who excel in there craft, setting them apart from other photographers.
